Rain Water Harvesting

In the event that municipal water is not restored one would ideally like to be able to harvest rain water to keep the supply of water consistent.  This system makes use of one’s roof as a catchment area to harvest rain water and divert it to a tank to be stored for later use.  Typically, this system is used to for non-potable uses such as the garden, washing the car, flushing the toilet, filling the pool etc.  The system needs to be kept clean by cleaning one’s roof and gutters regularly and ensuring that tanks are kept clean.
