Municipal Backup System

This system works by storing, in a tank, municipal water that can be used in the event that municipal water pressure drops or water dries up completely.  The system makes use of a tank, a float valve to keep the tank always full, and a pump with controller.  The system is seamless in that as soon as the pressure drops the controller will automatically start pumping water from the tank, on demand, which will feed the property with tank water.  Once the municipal water is restored and pressure is restored, the system will automatically start using water from the mains source.  The tank remains full at all times due to the float valve.  Typically, we aim to store enough water to last two weeks, but the system can be extended to include more tanks and increase capacity.
