The fully integrated system is essentially a combination of the other two systems with the addition of filters and sterilization equipment. One cannot rely solely on rain water as most areas in South Africa receive seasonal rainfall. One also wants to be able to harvest rain water in the event the municipal supply is interrupted for periods longer than the tanks can maintain supply. This system therefore fills the tanks to half capacity with municipal water and has capacity therefore to harvest the rest of the volume from rain water. In the event that municipal water remains interrupted for long periods, the rain water can fill the tanks. Because this water preferably needs to be potable, and piped through the property as the municipal back up system, filters need to filter out solids and sterilization equipment needs to sterilize the water to free it from harmful pathogens
